Breakfast: Get to work on oats

What you need is some slow release carbs topped with some quick carbs to get you going. Overnight oats are full of energy and are super versatile. Add whatever fruit you have lurking in the freezer to upgrade.

Ingredients

  • Rolled oats – around around 50g
  • Yoghurt – 2 spoons
  • Milk – around 200 ml
  • A spoon of seeds or nuts
  • A handful of frozen fruit (or fresh but frozen is easier)
  • Golden syrup or honey – I’ll let you decide how much

Method

  1. Get a large cup preferably with a lid
  2. Drop the frozen fruit and seeds in
  3. Next the oats and honey
  4. Spoon in the yoghurt and pour over the milk. Cover the oats by about 2cm at the top
  5. Close the lid and leave overnight

By morning fruit is defrosted and your oats are creamy.

Upgrade with peanut butter – optional.
