Off the wall!

How did you come up with the idea for this product?

Like many cyclists we store our bikes inside our home by leaning them against a wall. We find this to be the most convenient way to store our bikes. However, several years of us storing our bikes indoors had left our walls covered in unsightly dents and scratches, imperfections that we always had the intention of fixing. However, the knowledge that the problem would return had bred our inactivity to address it. This until the birthday party scandal! The idea of Gripster was born in 2015 during one of our kid’s birthday parties. All was going well when we heard an ominous bang and a mighty scream… Following these screams to the source we found that one of our bikes had accidentally fallen over, on someone else’s kid! Fortunately no harm was done,… oh and the kid was ok too… We looked for a bike storage solutions in the market but we couldn’t find a product that would meet our needs and this was the beginning of the Gripster journey!
