Childrens bike stabiliser installation video

Though not essential, bike stabilisers are useful for children to gain confidence in cycling before balancing on a bike. It’s useful for them to understand how to use the handle bars and breaks before getting to grips with balancing.

If you are unsure about how to install the bike stabilisers take it to a bike shop for installation. Also, make sure the child’s weight does not exceed the limits of the training wheels.

  1. Thread the support bolts through the stabiliser support at the base.

  3. Repeat on the second stabiliser

Bike fitting instructions

  1. Remove the rear axle nut from the bike
  2. Fit the levelling bracket onto the axle nut. Ensure the tab of the levelling bracket fits onto the drop out of the bike securely. This ensures the support arm stays in position. Ensure tab doesn’t interfere with any moving parts.
  3. Fit the support arm over the leveling bracket.
The support wheel should be touching the ground when the bike is in the upright position.
  4. Replace wheel axle nut and tighten securely. Make sure the chain has not slipped and has 1.6mm (1/16”) of play.
  5. Repeat this process on the other side using the remaining support arm.
  6. If the bike is not 90 degrees to the ground, readjust the position of the support arm holes.
  7. Firmly secure all nuts and bolts.

Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. Please keep these details for future reference.

IMPORTANT: All fasteners must be regularly checked to ensure they are fully secure. Ensure the bike is in good condition and serviced regularly.
